    Performs and demonstrates proficiency and understanding of the procedures in one or more areas for the clinical laboratory. Reviews requisitions, orders tests and processes specimens in preparation for laboratory procedures. Adheres to policies and procedures as directed by the supervisor, manager or director. Interacts with internal/external customers, including patients, visitors, physicians and co-workers, in a professional and courteous manner. Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, internet, e-mail).     Minimum Education: High School Diploma and/or combination of education and experience

    Preferred Education: Basic college coursework

    Minimum Experience: 3 - 6 months related or successful completion of phlebotomy ROP program

    Preferred Experience:  11 months or more related
