Pride Health is hiring a Lab Assistant I - Clinical Toxicology Laboratory to support our client's healthcare facility inBurlington, NC. This is a 13+ weeks contract role (with high possibility of extension or conversion) offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment.
 
Job Details: 
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM–7:30 AM
Shift: 3rd Shift / Overnight
Location:  Burlington, NC 27215
Job Type: Local contract 
Contract Length: 13+ weeks
Pay Range: $17 to $18/hour*
*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.  
 
Duties: 

• Assist with pre-analytical preparation of patient specimens for laboratory testing.

• Support laboratory operations and sample processing activities.

• Handle specimens such as blood, serum, urine, and meconium according to established procedures.

• Help ensure specimens are properly prepared and ready for testing.

• Follow laboratory protocols, safety guidelines, and quality standards.

• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail when handling patient samples.

• Work collaboratively with laboratory team members to support daily operations.

• Manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Requirements: 

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Years of experience: Experience working in a fast-paced laboratory or similar environment.
• Skills/Specialties/Technology: Ability to multitask and manage responsibilities effectively.
