L3 Project/Conference room Technician

Location: Buffalo, WV

Duration: 12 Months plus

Pay Range: $22/hr-$26.8/hr on W2 (DOE)

L3 IT Infrastructure Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced L3 IT Infrastructure / Network Support Engineer to provide advanced technical support across network infrastructure, server environments, conference room systems, and plant floor IT operations. This role will be part of the Site Services team and will support both end-user operations and project-based infrastructure initiatives within a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong Cisco networking expertise, hands-on troubleshooting experience, and the ability to support critical production environments with minimal downtime. This is a customer-facing role requiring strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

Network Infrastructure Support

  • Provide Level 3 (L3) support for LAN, WAN, and wireless network environments.
  • Troubleshoot, configure, and maintain Cisco Layer 2 & Layer 3 networks.
  • Support Cisco switching, routing, wireless infrastructure, and network hardware deployments.
  • Perform VLAN configuration, subnetting, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, and POE troubleshooting.
  • Conduct network maintenance, refresh activities, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Analyze network traffic and perform packet capture analysis using tools such as Wireshark.
  • Support IT cabling, patching, switch deployments, and port administration.

Data Center & Server Room Support

  • Support server room infrastructure including racks, fiber, switches, UPS, HVAC, and cabling.
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and replace server hardware components including memory, drives, and rack servers.
  • Provide Smart Hands support for remote infrastructure teams and third-party vendors.
  • Assist with server maintenance, hardware refresh, and infrastructure deployments.

Server Administration

  • Administer and support Windows Server environments (2012/2016 preferred).
  • Support DHCP, DNS, SCCM, print servers, and file share environments.
  • Assist with server security policies, monitoring, troubleshooting, and repair activities.
  • Support SAN/NAS storage and backup systems.

Plant Floor & Manufacturing IT Support

  • Support mission-critical manufacturing and plant floor systems.
  • Assist with manufacturing support tools and operational technologies including ANDON and PLC-related environments.
  • Provide first-level support for business and plant floor applications while coordinating escalations with SMEs.
  • Respond quickly to plant-down situations and critical production incidents.

Conference Room & End-User Support

  • Provide conference room and meeting support.
  • Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, printer, scanner, and peripheral device issues.
  • Resolve operating system and connectivity issues related to LAN/WAN environments.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service during high-priority incidents.

Coordination & Project Support

  • Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders for quotes, deployments, and project execution.
  • Participate in infrastructure planning, deployment, and upgrade projects.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for incidents, troubleshooting, and resolutions.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience performing Level 3 IT Infrastructure or Network Support responsibilities.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies.

  • Experience supporting LAN/WAN environments and network hardware.

  • Knowledge of:

  • TCP/IP

  • DHCP

  • DNS

  • VLANs

  • Subnetting

  • POE

  • Experience with Cisco switches, routing, and wireless networking.

  • Hands-on troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.

  • Experience with Windows Server administration.

  • Strong communication and coordination skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing/shop floor environment.

  • Ability to support rotational shifts and on-call situations when required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cisco CCNA certification.
  • Experience supporting large corporate or manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of Cisco VoIP systems.
  • Experience supporting business-critical and manufacturing applications.
  • Familiarity with ANDON and PLC support environments.
  • Experience with conference room technologies and AV support.
  • IT project management experience.
