Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Kubernetes Admin for a Contract with a client in San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate is responsible for managing, optimizing, and securing enterprise Kubernetes environments across AWS EKS and Google Anthos/GKE platforms while ensuring high availability and operational excellence.

Rate Range: $60/hour to $68/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Kubernetes Admin Job Responsibilities include:

  • Manage, administer, and optimize Kubernetes clusters across Amazon EKS and Google Anthos/GKE environments.

  • Perform cluster upgrades, security hardening, RBAC management, autoscaling configuration, and networking policy implementation.

  • Deploy and maintain ingress controllers, observability platforms, and monitoring solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and related tools.

  • Build and support CI/CD and GitOps workflows using ArgoCD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Bitbucket to enable automated deployments.

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.

  • Troubleshoot platform, application, and cloud infrastructure issues while ensuring high availability, performance, and operational reliability of Kubernetes environments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • 6-8 years of experience in Kubernetes administration, cloud infrastructure, and container platform management.

  • Strong hands-on experience managing Kubernetes environments across Amazon EKS and Google Anthos/GKE, including cluster upgrades, RBAC, autoscaling, ingress controllers, and security hardening.

  • Proven expertise with AWS services (VPC, IAM, EC2, S3, ECR, CloudWatch, KMS), Terraform, CI/CD tools (ArgoCD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions), and cloud-native monitoring solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk.

Pay Details: $60.00 to $68.00 per hour
