Overview:

A very kind but busy family is in search of a full-time or part-time laundress/housekeeper for their large brownstone in Greenwich Village. The family has 2 children in college who are home for breaks. There are also 2 dogs, so you must be comfortable with animals. There is another full-time housekeeper you will be working alongside. The role can be Monday through Friday, 9am until 4pm, or for a fantastic laundress, a few days per week with an open schedule based on the candidate's availability. 

Responsibilities:

• Ironing of linens and clothing
• Handling Couture, high-end clothing
• Daily housekeeping in conjunction with another housekeeper 
• Working with high-end furniture and fixtures

• Perform all laundry duties for the household, including washing, drying, organizing, and maintaining garments and linens.

• Professionally fold and organize wardrobes and linens.

• Hand-wash delicate items when required.

• Steam, press, and provide expert fabric care.

• Maintain a highly organized laundry operation within the home.

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to implement and maintain systems
• Warm, positive, and even-keeled personality (able to take feedback well)
• Confident working independently without micromanagement

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of proven experience in a large primary residence or luxury hospitality
• Maintain utmost discretion and confidentiality in all aspects of service.
• Highly professional, discreet, and polished with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Salary and Benefits:

• $50 per hour DOE (flexible for the right candidate)
• Health insurance stipend
• 2 weeks PTO (structured between employer/employee scheduling)
