Kitchen Support/Assistant Teacher

Job Description

We are looking for fun and energetic Assistant Teachers for our school.

This position is also responsible for:

• Preparing morning and afternoon snack
• Ensuring kitchen is in compliance with Goddard's industry-leading Quality Assurance standards
• Assisting classroom teachers

Daily Responsibilities

Our Assistant Teachers work together with lead teachers to:

• Meeting the individual needs of the children

• Parent communication

• Participation in staff and training meetings

• Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning

• Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child’s age and developmental level

• Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff

• Building teamwork

• Committing to continuing education

Job Requirements

Available between 8:00am and 5:00pm

Teacher Qualifications:

• Minimum of MSDE-OCS Teacher requirements (45- 90 hour training) prefered
• Prior classroom experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
• Strong written and communication skills
