    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise, train, and schedule a team of four grill cooks.
    • Lead by example by actively preparing and cooking menu items during service.
    • Ensure food is prepared consistently, accurately, and according to established recipes and quality standards.
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen at all times.
    • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health department regulations, food safety standards, and sanitation requirements.
    • Monitor kitchen operations to ensure efficient food production and timely service.
    • Manage food and supply inventory, including ordering, receiving, and proper storage.
    • Minimize food waste and control food costs through proper inventory management and portion control.
    • Develop, update, and implement seasonal and daily menus in collaboration with management.
    • Inspect food quality and ensure freshness of all ingredients.
    • Train employees on food safety, sanitation, kitchen procedures, and customer service expectations.
    • Create and manage staffing schedules.
    • Address employee performance issues and provide coaching and support as needed.
    • Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and report repair needs promptly.
    • Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff and management to provide an exceptional guest experience.
    • Perform opening and/or closing kitchen duties.

    Qualification Standards:

    • Previous supervisory or kitchen management experience preferred.
    • Willing and able to work shift duties that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
    • Experience working in a restaurant, café, grill, or similar food service environment.
    • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
    • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health code regulations.
    • Inventory management and food ordering experience.
    • Ability to multitask and perform well in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong organizational and communication skills.
    • Food Handler and/or ServSafe Manager Certification preferred (or ability to obtain).
