Job Description:Responsible for assisting with some food preparation, washing dishes, maintaining thecleanliness of the kitchen and dining room, and serving meals to the residents. Assist anyresidents that need help with their meals. The dietary aid works along with the dietarymanager to prepare and serve meals and beverages. Server/dietary aid will also assists inclean up, kitchen maintenance, and setting up and taking down the dining areas. Otherjob duties include delivering food to residents' rooms, preparing and serving snacks, andtaking inventory of food and kitchen supplies. Job Responsibilities:1. Serves all food according to the menu in a safe, sanitary manner under thedirection of the dining services coordinator/manager2. Maintaining kitchen sanitation and safety standards under the direction of theDining Services Coordinator3. Assists in serving meals to residents within an assisted living community as wellas maintaining standards of kitchen cleanliness4. Setting up and taking down the dining areas5. Follows departmental procedures including sanitation, safety, and cleaningschedules6. Reports any concerns with the health and well-being of residents to the ResidentCare Coordinator or Nurse7. Maintains and protects the confidentiality of resident information at all times8. Meets or exceeds, the standards of appearance; complies with the sanitation rules,hygiene and health standards of community personnel9. Serves meals in a fine and gracious manner, ensuring the dignity and nutritionalneeds of the residents10. Assists with putting away and organizing the weekly orders11. Helps keep the kitchen and dining room clean and organized12. Insures that the cleanliness of kitchen and dining area meets or exceeds thedietary manager's specifications and is in compliance with state regulations13. Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisorJob Qualifications:1. Must possess a current Food Handler's Permit2. Have the ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, supervisors,and associates3. Must provide written proof of recent TB test or obtain within two weeks of dateof hire4. Must be positive and deliver a WOW experience through service5. Performs unpleasant tasks with grace; works cooperatively with supervisors anddisplays willingness to assist co-workers6. Willingness to work with the elderly
