Assistant Kitchen Manager/Lead Line Cook
Farm Burger is growing the herd! We are a neighborhood burger joint serving 100% grassfed burgers. Our chefs partner with local farmers and ranchers to create a menu grown by the community. Whether we're creating a burger topped with our pork belly or finding a creative way to use the season's produce, we bring our passion to the table. We are primarily a scratch kitchen, making our own sauces, real french fries, fresh grilled patties, and salads. We are in search of awesome people to join our team. Job Types: Full-time (35-40 hours per week)
Pay: $23-$25 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Assisting chef/kitchen manager in all aspects of the BOH
- Actively working grill or plating stations
- Engaging in the training of new staff
- Building relationships with local farmers and creating specials showcasing local ingredients
- Managing food costs with proper purchasing, recipe/portion-size maintenance, and waste management
- Writing and enforcing schedules for proper labor cost control
- Adhering to health code protocols and maintaining a well-organized, clean kitchen space
- Taking inventory and managing proper par levels
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year kitchen management experience
- Strong leadership skills and able to communicate effectively in a high volume, fast-paced environment
- Experience with inventory management software a plus
