Kitchen Production Assistant
Al’s Delicious Popcorn – Cincinnati, OH
We’re looking for a dependable and hardworking Kitchen Production Assistant to join our team! This position works alongside our Chef to help produce the popcorn that keeps our shop running.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that is perfect for someone who enjoys staying busy, working with a team, and taking pride in doing things correctly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Operate popcorn poppers and kettles throughout the production day
- Prepare popcorn according to recipes and production standards
- Measure and organize ingredients needed for production
- Keep the kitchen and production areas clean, organized, and stocked
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and allergen procedures
- Assist the Chef with daily production needs
- Help maintain an efficient production flow, especially during high-volume seasons
- Follow recipes and instructions carefully to maintain consistent product quality
- Complete cleaning and closing tasks for kitchen equipment and work areas

- Dependable and punctual — production relies on having a reliable team
- Organized and able to keep a clean workspace
- Detail-oriented and able to follow recipes and procedures accurately
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work on your feet for extended periods of time
- Comfortable performing repetitive, hands-on tasks
- Able to work independently while also taking direction from the Chef
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Daytime availability is required
- Previous kitchen, food production, or restaurant experience is a plus, but not required — we are willing to train the right person
Schedule
This position primarily requires daytime availability. Additional hours may be available during our busy and holiday seasons.
