Primary Responsibilities:

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare necessary food items by following standardized operational procedures.

• Handle cutting equipment. • Follow established weights and measures procedures.

• Suggestive sales with customers.

• Inventory control & stock

• Order inventory for the department

• Daily and weekly cleaning schedules

• Create schedules for department employees

• Be part of the interview process in hiring

• Train employees

• Proper food preparation and kitchen techniques

• Cook various types of dishes.

• Other duties common to the Kitchen department may be assigned by the supervisor as needed. Skills/Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 year of experience in food handling, food preparation role preferred.

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience preferred

• Must be 18 years of age

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals

• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization

• Ability to apply understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

• Bilingual (English and Spanish) highly preferred

• Work well with others in a team-oriented environment where one willingly takes on additional tasks with a positive attitude to help out the team/department.’

• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services - this includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction

• Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems

 • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to coach and lead diverse work teams to
