    Description

    The Kitchen Coordinator AM shift provides healthy meals for TGA students and live-in staff as well as maintains a safe, clean kitchen, in compliance with all applicable regulations.

    ● High School diploma or GED

     â— Maintain a state approved Food Handler’s License Preferred Qualifications

    ● ministry experience

     â— The Kitchen/DC is responsible to the Program Coordinator.

    Responsibilities:  will primarily serve as a minister to students in the program.

    Responsibilities include but not be limited to:

     â— Lead prayer â— Engage in religious instruction

    ● Work with other departments to comply with all Texas DFPS regulations or COGNIA

    ● Participate in campus events and chapels as required

    ● Prepare meals for the students

    ● Maintain a clean kitchen which is at or above all standards set by the state

    ● Order supplies for the kitchen and maintains an adequate inventory

    ● Create healthy menus appropriate for students, including those with dietary issues

    ● Serve the food

    Direct Care:

    ● Supervision (following staff check off list responsibilities), mentoring, and interacting with residents during various activities, which may include but is not limited to online school, TC Curriculum, work periods, free time, and recreational activities

    ● Administer discipline as is necessary according to THRIVE policies

    ● Minister to students as opportunity arises and/or during scheduled sessions

    ● Become a mentor to students

     â— All other duties as assigned by Director or Program Manager




    Requirements

    ● High School diploma or GED

     â— Maintain a state approved Food Handler’s License Preferred Qualifications

    ● ministry experience

     â— The Kitchen/DC is responsible to the Program Coordinator.
