Green Acres of Standale is currently seeking two Part-Time Cooks to assist with batch cooking from scratch, food preparation, and general kitchen duties in our retirement living community.
This position is perfect for someone who enjoys cooking in a meaningful, lower-stress environment while making a difference in the lives of seniors.
Schedule:
- Part-time 6:30 am- 2:30 pm
- Part-time 2:30 pm - 7:30 pm
- Every other weekend
- Every other holiday rotation required
Key Responsibilities:- Batch cook meals from scratch for approximately 40 residents
- Assist with food preparation and meal service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and leadership
Qualifications:- Previous cooking or kitchen experience preferred (willing to train the right candidate)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Dependable, team-oriented, and compassionate
