    2027 Dates

    Staff Training: May 23 - June 5 (2 weeks)
    Camp: June 6 - Aug 7 (9 weeks)


    Kitchen Assistants


    Work cooperatively with fellow kitchen staff and the kitchen manager to prepare, serve and clean up all meals to camp staff and campers. ​

     

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Prepare food in accordance with camp meal plan and recipes as directed by the kitchen manager.
    • Monitor buffet lines and dining hall during meal times.
    • Prepare meals in a timely manner with minimal food waste.
    • Clean dishes after meal prep and serving of each meal.
    • Maintain cleanliness of meal prep, serving and dining areas.
    • Sweep and mop kitchen and dining hall after each meal.
    • Assist with the unloading and stocking of incoming food deliveries and keeping food storage areas clean and organized.
    • Maintain cleanliness of dining hall bathrooms and handwashing stations.

    • Maintain a desire to positively impact the life of a child and willingness to put the needs of campers first.
    • Communicate ideas, thoughts and instructions effectively in a constructive manner.
    • Work self-motivated on tasks and assigned goals with minimal supervision.
    • Demonstrate a willingness to learn new concepts and skills.
    • Work effectively in a team and both give and take direction from others.
    • Adhere willingly to camp’s code of conduct, rules and policies.


    Benefits

    Starting pay $4050 for 11 week summer. Additional $100 credit in camp store for snacks and supplies. Housing, meals, and laundry included. Weekend work is required, this position requires availability to work on-site 7 days a week for the contract period. Two 1-hour breaks provided each day, and 1 scheduled day off each week.
