Overview:

The Y is looking for Kids Zone/Parents Night Out Representatives to provide a fun, passionate, quality experience and service to children and parents that focuses on the YMCA core values of honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the children, classroom, and all activities.
  • Communicate with parents and engage parents as volunteers.
  • Maintain program sites and equipment.
  • Organize required program records.
  • Greet every member and child who attends and tours the Child Watch area.
  • Attend and participate in family nights, events, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training.
  • Help with the general housekeeping duties.
  • Participate in both Parent’s Night Out events at the Horn and Mcleod Locations, providing supply lists and purchase orders to Childcare director or Family Engagement coordinator.
  • Follow YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention, and emergencies.
Qualifications:
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Meets educational and experience qualifications established by state law and by the YMCA.
  • CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date.
  • Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred.
  • Ability to plan, organize and implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities
  • Previous experience with diverse populations.

Posted Salary Range: USD $13.50 - USD $16.00 /Hr.
