    Description

    The Kids Corner Aide is responsible for providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for members' children within the Druid Hills Golf Club childcare center. This role ensures high standards of safety, interaction, and cleanliness while supervising children ranging from 6 months to 12 years of age.

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintains a strict 1:6 staff-to-child ratio, adhering to the center's maximum capacity cap of 12 children at any given time.
    • Actively engages with and supervises children between the ages of 6 months and 12 years old to ensure a safe and playful environment.
    • Manages the secure check-in and check-out process, ensuring parents or authorized guardians properly sign children in and out of the center.
    • Adheres strictly to all allergy safety protocols and sanitation guidelines to protect the health of all children.
    • Sanitizes toys, equipment, and high-touch surfaces throughout the shift, and completes a thorough clean-up and resetting of the room at the end of each day.
    • Monitors children's behavior and promptly reports any behavioral issues, safety hazards, or operational incidents to the Kids Corner Supervisor.
    • Assists with the execution and programming of youth camps and special kids' club events as needed.

    Requirements

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to connect with children and communicate professionally with parents.
    • Strong situational awareness and the ability to manage multiple children simultaneously.
    • High level of patience, energy, and enthusiasm for youth recreation.
    • Knowledge of basic early childhood safety and behavior management.

    Education and Experience:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
    • Must hold a valid CPR / First Aid Certification (or be willing to obtain it upon hire).
    • 1+ years of experience working with children in a daycare, camp, babysitting, or recreational setting preferred.
