Kia of Abilene is HIRING NOW for motivated Automotive Lube Technicians to join our growing service department.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to get into the automotive industry, build valuable hands-on experience, and develop a long-term career with a professional dealership.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform oil and filter changes efficiently and accurately

• Inspect and maintain vehicle fluid levels

• Replace oil and air filters as needed

• Check and properly adjust tire pressures

• Perform basic vehicle inspections

• Lubricate vehicle components as required

• Complete work according to repair orders and manufacturer standards

• Communicate with the parts department for required parts and supplies

• Properly document all work performed

• Identify and report equipment or vehicle concerns

• Keep customer vehicles clean and protected while being serviced

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

• Properly use and maintain dealership tools and equipment

• Follow dealership, manufacturer, OSHA, environmental, and safety procedures

• Participate in manufacturer training as assigned

• Perform additional service-related duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous automotive experience is NOT required

• Automotive or technical-school experience is a plus

• Mechanically inclined and willing to learn

• Dependable and punctual

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to follow instructions and established procedures

• Comfortable working with automotive tools and equipment

• Ability to work in a fast-paced service environment

• Professional attitude and strong work ethic

• Valid driver's license

• Ability to safely perform the physical duties associated with automotive service work
