Key Machine Technician

Job Summary

Manufacture, assemble, and repair PC-based key duplication machines. Learn each step of the assembly process, diagnose equipment issues, and perform final quality control, calibration, and test cuts to ensure machines are customer-ready before shipment

Responsibilities and Duties

• Read work orders, production drawings, and assembly instructions.
• Position, align, and secure components using appropriate assembly methods and tools.
• Install power supplies, circuit boards, wiring, electronic components, and hardware into machine assemblies.
• Complete intermediate assembly tasks including cleaning, bonding, finishing, and adjusting components to specifications.
• Perform in-process inspections, go/no-go testing, and final quality checks.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electromechanical components and complete PC-controlled machines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; continuing education is a plus.
• At least two years of electronics assembly experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and understand instructions and communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to explain technical information to individuals or small groups and troubleshoot technical issues over the telephone.
