Don’t Just Manage Accounts. Own the Growth.

What if your next sales opportunity put you in the driver’s seat of strategic customer relationships—and gave you the opportunity to directly influence revenue, distribution, and market growth?

We’re seeking a Key Account Manager – Pet to manage and expand relationships with key national and regional retailers and distributors within the Pet Specialty channel.

This is an opportunity for a strategic, relationship-driven sales professional who knows how to uncover opportunities, build trust with customers, turn data into action, and turn strong relationships into measurable growth.

This is not an order-taking account management role.

You’ll have the opportunity to influence account strategy, expand distribution, identify new revenue opportunities, lead customer presentations, and help shape how products grow within the marketplace.

If you’re energized by the combination of sales strategy + relationship building + business development + analytics, this role gives you a platform to make your mark.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and grow strategic relationships with national and regional Pet Specialty retailers and distributors
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts
  • Develop account strategies designed to increase sales, distribution, and market presence
  • Identify opportunities for incremental business and expansion within existing accounts
  • Analyze sales trends, purchase-order history, account performance, and profitability
  • Develop and execute promotional strategies to drive volume and visibility
  • Lead and participate in customer business reviews and sales presentations
  • Build strong relationships with customer headquarters, regional teams, and distributors
  • Provide sales forecasts and input to production and demand-planning teams
  • Partner with leadership on pricing, promotions, quotes, and account strategy
  • Monitor competitive activity, market trends, and merchandising strategies
  • Resolve customer issues and ensure strong service and execution
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, production, and leadership teams
  • Manage expenses in accordance with established guidelines
  • Travel locally or regionally as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field
  • 3–7 years of sales or key account management experience
  • Experience within Pet Specialty, Pet CPG, Food & Beverage, or related consumer products
  • Experience working with retail headquarters, regional offices, and/or distributors
  • Strong analytical and business-development skills
  • Ability to interpret sales data and identify growth opportunities
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Experience creating and delivering PowerPoint sales presentations
  • Excellent organization and time-management abilities
  • Ability to build relationships across multiple levels of an organization
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Willingness to travel locally or regionally
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Comfortable working in-office in Atlanta, GA

Why This Opportunity?

You’ll have the chance to take ownership of meaningful accounts and play a visible role in expanding distribution, strengthening customer partnerships, and driving sales growth.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to move beyond simply maintaining accounts and instead become a strategic business partner to customers—someone who can see the opportunity, build the relationship, develop the strategy, and execute.

If you’re a sales professional who wants your work to have a measurable impact on growth, this is the opportunity to make your next move count.
