    Job Summary

    Join our dynamic pet care team as a Kennel Attendant and become a vital part of providing exceptional care for animals in a clean, safe, and loving environment. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining the well-being of our furry guests, ensuring their comfort and safety while supporting the daily operations of our pet care facility. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a positive experience for pets and their owners alike, fostering trust and loyalty.

    Duties

    • Provide attentive pet care by feeding, watering, and monitoring animals throughout their stay
    • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennels, cages, and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment
    • Handle animals with gentle restraint techniques, ensuring their safety and comfort during grooming, feeding, or medical procedures
    • Assist with pet boarding, pet sitting, and outdoor walks to promote physical activity and mental stimulation
    • Support animal behavior assessments and help reinforce training routines such as dog training exercises
    • Perform animal handling tasks including grooming, bathing, and basic pet grooming services
    • Ensure proper animal restraint during procedures and manage animal behavior to prevent injuries or escapes

    Requirements

    • Previous veterinary experience or kennel experience is highly desirable
    • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
    • Experience in pet sitting, kennel work, or animal handling is preferred
    • Knowledge of pet grooming techniques and animal restraint methods
    • Ability to lift heavy objects safely through team lifting practices
    • Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and visitors
    • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and performing outdoor work tasks
    • Attention to detail in cleaning, sanitization, and maintaining a safe environment for animals
    • Familiarity with animal behavior principles to manage different temperaments effectively
