Under the association of the YMCA of Greater Montgomery, the successful candidate will be responsible for teaching karate classes to participants of various ages and skill levels, promoting physical fitness, discipline, and self-confidence in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities- Plan, organize, and instruct karate classes for children, teens, and adults.
- Develop lesson plans that accommodate different skill levels and age groups.
- Promote the YMCA’s values of respect, responsibility, honesty, and caring through martial arts instruction.
- Ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all participants.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain equipment and training areas in good condition.
- Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and YMCA staff.
- Assist with organizing karate events, demonstrations, and competitions as needed.
Qualifications- Proven experience as a Karate Instructor or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of karate techniques, forms, and training methods.
- Ability to teach and motivate students of all ages and skill levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Commitment to the YMCA’s mission and values.
