About the students
- Church organization seeking multiple tutors for an after-school program. 1-on-1 homework and general education support with students ranging from pre-K through 12th grade.
- Students are split into four groups, with one tutor per group. Group 1: Pre-K - 1st grade; Group 2: 2nd grade - 5th grade; Group 3: 6th grade - 8th grade; Group 4: 9th grade - 12th grade.
- Tutors should bring grade-level-appropriate worksheets for students who do not have homework.
- The goal is to provide students with consistent academic support, particularly with homework completion, understanding assignments, and reinforcing concepts they may be struggling with in school. The program is intended to give students an opportunity to receive individualized attention and additional academic guidance.
- Weekly in-person tutoring sessions will take place on Tuesdays from 6:15 pm to 7:45 pm.
- Sessions will take place at the church in Detroit.
