K-12 Teacher Workshop Leader

Most of our workshop leaders still have school jobs and lead sessions on evenings, weekends, personal days, and during the summer. As a workshop leader, you'd take K-12 teachers and staff through our classroom management training, either at their school or by video.

As a workshop leader, you'd take K-12 teachers and staff through our classroom management training, either at their school or by video. The Center for Teacher Effectiveness was founded in 1993 and has trained more than 400,000 educators across all 50 states.

The position is 1099 contract work, and no hours are guaranteed. Some years you'll lead many workshops and some years fewer. A training day typically brings in $1,000 or more, paid every Friday.

Most workshops start with a school you contacted yourself. Certification teaches the outreach approach, and once a school agrees, your National Director takes care of the contract and the negotiating. We don't hand out territories, which means you can lead workshops near home in Indiana or anywhere else in the country.

Before your first workshop, you finish our virtual Weekend Certification. It covers 36 hours over three days, split across two weekends, and it counts for 4 graduate credits through UMass Global. Orientation, training materials, and continuing support are included.
