Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, contractors, and authorized personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and access points; verify credentials and authorization; and maintain visitor logs and entry records in accordance with facility procedures.
  • Screen and direct visitors, coordinate access with designated personnel, and report access concerns or unauthorized-entry attempts through established channels.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following applicable government facility protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, unsecured access points, and facility concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Meet DPSS/DHS tuberculosis test and MMR vaccination requirements.
  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
