As a Juvenile Correctional Security Officer - Badging in Union, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a government juvenile services location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor and badge access, and help maintain a secure environment. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and respond to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, contractors, and authorized personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and access points; verify credentials and authorization; and maintain visitor logs and entry records in accordance with facility procedures.
• Screen and direct visitors, coordinate access with designated personnel, and report access concerns or unauthorized-entry attempts through established channels.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following applicable government facility protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, unsecured access points, and facility concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Meet DPSS/DHS tuberculosis test and MMR vaccination requirements.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
