Client:
Global retail design firm which specializes in designing, producing, and installing award-winning retail environments, windows, interiors, and pop-up spaces. With studios in key markets including New York, London, and Dubai, the team combines creativity with technical expertise to deliver projects from concept through installation.
Description:
Immediate need for a CAD Designer, full-time for an on-site role based in Farmingdale, Long Island. This position is responsible for producing CAD drawings for retail projects.

Responsibilities:

• Produce precise technical drawings and CAD models for retail interiors, windows, and pop-up spaces.
• Create and update engineering and architectural drawings
• Prepare detailed shop drawings and layouts.
• Ensure all documentation meets project specifications.
• Collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and installers.
• Maintain organized drawing files and adhering to deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Strong skills in Computer-aided design with experience in AutoCAD. Desired experience with Rhino and Solidworks.
• Proficient in technical drawing including dimensioning, tolerances, and material specifications.
• Ability to produce clear architectural drawings for interiors, fixtures, and retail environments.
• Experience interpreting design concepts and converting them into accurate fabrication drawings.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills. Effective communication skills.
• Understanding of construction methods and materials.
• Prior experience in retail design a big plus!
• Ability to take accurate field dimensions.

Education:
Relevant education in drafting, architecture, engineering, industrial design or related field.
