    We are seeking a Junior Systems Administrator located in our Irving, TX location.

    About the Role

    We're looking for a motivated Junior Systems Administrator to join our IT team. You'll help maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot our server infrastructure, networks, and end-user systems while learning from senior engineers and growing into more advanced administrative responsibilities.

    Responsibilities

    • Monitor system performance, availability, and security across servers and workstations
    • Perform routine maintenance: patching, backups, updates, and user account management
    • Provide first- and second-tier technical support for hardware, software, and network issues
    • Assist in configuring and maintaining Windows servers, Active Directory, firewalls, and network devices
    • Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps
    • Support onboarding/offboarding of employee accounts and equipment
    • Escalate complex issues to senior sysadmins and collaborate on resolution
    • Assist with system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure projects
    • Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed

    Requirements

    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
    • 02 years of experience in IT support or systems administration
    • Basic knowledge of Windows Server administration
    • Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and networking fundamentals
    • Basic understanding of firewall configuration and network security principles
    • Understanding of or work with an IDP (Identity Provider) like Okta preferred
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
    • Good communication and willingness to learn
    • Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar) preferred but not required
    • Ability to travel up to 10%
    • Willingness to work occasional after-hours and participate in on-call rotation

    Nice to Have

    • Scripting experience (PowerShell)
    • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
    • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow)
