At Humanitarian Experience (HXP), we design and operate humanitarian service expeditions that empower teenagers to make a difference across the globe. We are seeking a Junior Systems Architect to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable business systems across CRM, automation, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure. This role works directly under senior technical leadership to translate business processes into efficient, automated, and well-documented systems.
What You Will Do:
Build and maintain workflows within Zoho CRM and Zoho Flow
Translate operational processes (Trips, Builders, Parents, etc.) into scalable system logic
Create and manage integrations between platforms (Zoho, Google Sheets, Slack, external APIs)
Write and debug scripts (Deluge, JavaScript, or similar) to support automation
Assist in maintaining backend services
Structure and manage data across systems to ensure accuracy and consistency
Build and optimize reporting pipelines (Google Sheets, CRM dashboards)
Identify inefficiencies in current workflows and propose scalable solutions
Test, debug, and QA systems before deployment
Document system architecture, workflows, and internal processes for team use
Who You Are:
Background/Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology
Strong systems thinking — able to break down real-world processes into logical workflows
Experience or familiarity with APIs (REST, JSON)
Basic scripting ability (JavaScript, Python, or similar)
Comfortable working with data (Google Sheets, relational concepts, data cleaning)
High attention to detail — able to identify and resolve small system issues quickly
Fast learner with the ability to pick up new tools and platforms quickly
Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mentality
Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup-style environment
Preferred (Not Required):
Experience with Zoho CRM or other CRM systems
Experience with automation tools (Zoho Flow, Zapier, Make)
Exposure to cloud infrastructure (Amazon Web Services)
Familiarity with Google Sheets at an advanced level (formulas, data structuring)
Experience working with tools like Slack for internal systems and integrations
Interest in AI tools and automation (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.)
