Junior Project Manager, Wet Utilities (Sewer, Water, Storm Drain)

You've got some construction, civil, or utility experience, and you want to learn how a wet utility job is really run. As a Junior Project Manager, you'd work beside our Project Managers and Superintendents, get hands-on with real projects, and build the skills to run your own.
Boudreau Pipeline is a Southern California underground utility contractor based in Corona. We install sewer, water, and storm drain systems and handle SUE work, for private developers and public agencies alike.
We're hiring a Junior Project Manager to support our PMs on active projects from award through closeout.
What you'll do
- Support Project Managers in running assigned projects from award through closeout.
- Help prepare project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Read plans, specs, and contract documents and learn how they drive the work.
- Help with subcontractor procurement, contracts, and day-to-day coordination.
- Track costs, prepare change order requests, and help with project financial reports.
- Handle RFIs, submittals, and change requests, and keep logs up to date.
- Coordinate materials and equipment with the field and the office.
- Work with Superintendents and Foremen on jobsite needs, safety, and quality.
- Help review billing, progress payments, and job cost reports.
- Take notes at project meetings and job walks, and follow up on action items.
- Keep project documentation accurate and organized, including as-builts, warranties, and turnover documents.
What you bring
- 1 to 3 years of experience in construction, utilities, civil, or project coordination. Internship or co-op experience counts.
- An interest in underground utility work (sewer, water, storm drain) and a willingness to learn in the field.
- Comfort reading plans and specs, or a strong desire to learn.
- Strong written and verbal communication, and good organization and time management.
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office. Experience with project management software is a plus.
- A valid California driver's license. OSHA 10 or 30 is preferred.
- A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience counts.
The work environment
This is mainly an office role at our Corona headquarters, with regular visits to job sites. In the field, you'll follow Cal/OSHA safety standards and wear the right PPE.
