Junior Mechanical Product Development Engineer

Picture your first six months: you’re sketching concepts in the morning, refining a parametric CAD model after lunch, and wrapping up the day by putting a fresh prototype through its paces in the lab. You’ll alternate between hands-on build time and thoughtful design reviews, always asking how to make our products stronger, simpler, and easier to manufacture.

Work Style & Location: Hybrid role based in Cleveland, OH, with periodic on-site collaboration and approximately 15% travel for vendor visits, testing, and production trials.

What you’ll do

• Translate requirements into 3D concepts and detailed models.
• Develop and iterate physical and digital prototypes; plan and execute validation tests.
• Select materials and finishes aligned to performance, cost, and manufacturability.
• Prepare drawings and documentation; interpret electro-mechanical schematics to inform design decisions.

Tools you’ll use

• CAD: AutoCAD, PTC Creo, or SolidWorks (hands-on experience with at least one is required).
• Productivity: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design Engineering.
• 0–2 years of experience in 3D design or CAD-driven product development.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings; prior design-for-manufacture exposure is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; meticulous attention to detail and organization.
• Clear communicator who can explain technical choices to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
