Get Core Java, OOP, collections, Spring Boot, REST, SQL, Git, testing, and DSA—the language of developer interviews. Projects become the evidence that you can build, not only log defects. Interview prep teaches you to talk like a developer: tradeoffs, complexity, debugging, and design, not only process.
A CS degree helps but is not strictly required; programming knowledge in Java or C++ is the practical bar called out on the Java JOPP page.
