Job Description

We are seeking a talented Junior Interior Designer with 2-5 years of professional experience in corporate interiors, workplace design, higher education, healthcare, civic, or other institutional projects. This individual will support all phases of the design process, from programming and concept development through construction administration, while collaborating closely with project managers, sr. designers, and clients.

The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, technically proficient, and passionate about creating functional, engaging, and innovative interior environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of interior design concepts, space planning, and design presentations.
  • Prepare presentation materials, mood boards, finish palettes, renderings, and client-facing design packages.
  • Develop interior construction documents, including floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, details, and finish schedules.
  • Select furniture, fixtures, finishes, and materials that align with project goals, budget, and code requirements.
  • Conduct field surveys, site visits, and existing conditions assessments.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, vendors, and manufacturers.
  • Support project teams throughout design, documentation, bidding, and construction administration phases.
  • Research products, materials, and emerging workplace or institutional design trends.
  • Participate in client meetings and assist in documenting project decisions and action items.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, and industry standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor"s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of professional interior design experience.
  • Experience working on corporate interiors, workplace environments, higher education, healthcare, government, civic, or other institutional projects.
  • Proficiency in Revit required.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with rendering and visualization tools such as Enscape, Lumion, Twinmotion, or SketchUp preferred.
  • Strong understanding of interior construction documentation and detailing.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Philadelphia, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
