Junior Energy & Climate Solutions/Tax Associate

Our clients range from game-changing nuclear and enhanced geothermal companies proving their technologies, through leading independent power producers acquiring and building gigawatts of new PV and battery projects, to global hyper-scalers pursuing unprecedented regulatory models in support of energy supply for AI. The ideal candidate will have worked on a variety of transactions involving tax credits under sections 45, 45X, 45Y, 45Z, 48 and/or 48E of the Internal Revenue Code, including tax equity and transferability transactions.

We are seeking a dedicated transactional tax associate with 1 – 3 years' law firm experience. The ideal candidate will have worked on a variety of transactions involving tax credits under sections 45, 45X, 45Y, 45Z, 48 and/or 48E of the Internal Revenue Code, including tax equity and transferability transactions.

Tax generalists with transactional experience who are looking to specialize may also be considered. The selected candidate will work in close collaboration with other elements of our project finance practice, including lawyers providing corporate, debt and securitization input.

Preferred locations include San Francisco and Los Angeles; candidates located in other cities with firm offices will be considered.

This position will be situated in the firm's energy and climate solutions group. Client fields an integrated team of lawyers providing high-value services to innovative, cutting-edge clients in the energy sector. Our work includes project development and commercial transactions, project finance and securitization, corporate finance, and energy regulatory.
