Punctuality: Our operations rely on a clean hand-off. You must be ready to start at your scheduled shift time.
After-Hours Support: While this is a daytime role, flexibility is required. You may be called in for evenings or weekends when our customers require urgent after-hours support or during critical system emergencies.
Ownership: We need someone who takes pride in 'getting it right the first time' and understands that dependability is our #1 asset.
What You'll Do (Training Provided):
Hardware Support: Install, rack and stack, and cabling enterprise-grade servers and networking equipment.
Monitoring & Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of Datacenter infrastructure including cooling (HVAC), power, and physical security systems.
Troubleshooting: Assist senior technicians in diagnosing hardware failures and performing 'Smart Hands' break/fix support.
Cabling: Running, routing, and securing fiber and copper (Cat5e/Cat6) cables; performing 'clean' cable management with Velcro.
Environmental Monitoring: Monitoring temperatures and humidity levels and other areas to ensure systems are working correctly.
Facility Rounds: Performing walk through inspections of the facility to ensure all hardware and environmental systems are operating properly.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Classes or certificate in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Networking.
Physical Readiness: You are comfortable being on your feet in a large facility and can safely lift up to 50 lbs.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills
Prior military experience preferred but not required.
Shows good judgment and instincts in decision making opportunities.
