A financial services organization is seeking a Junior Data Analyst to support compliance reporting, process exception monitoring, and ad hoc data analysis. This role is suited to an early-career analyst with strong attention to detail, foundational Excel, SAS, and SQL skills, and an interest in developing within a compliance or risk environment. The ideal candidate can turn source data into accurate, well-documented reports and communicate findings clearly to business stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and maintain recurring compliance reports, management reporting, and committee materials.
• Collect, reconcile, and validate data to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency.
• Create tables, charts, and trend summaries, highlighting material changes for review.
• Build and refresh process exception reports using established business rules and thresholds.
• Investigate discrepancies and help distinguish data-quality issues from actual process exceptions.
• Track exception volumes, aging, recurring trends, and remediation status.
• Perform routine and ad hoc data pulls using SAS, SQL, Excel, and approved reporting tools.
• Clean and combine datasets and conduct basic trend and variance analysis.
• Maintain reporting documentation, data definitions, queries, and procedures to support repeatable processes.
• Follow confidentiality, data-access, and information-retention requirements.
