Seeking a Junior Business Analyst to support business teams with requirements gathering, documentation, data analysis, process improvement, testing, and project coordination. The role will work closely with business users, project managers, developers, and QA teams to understand business needs and help translate them into clear requirements.
Required Skills
- 0 3 years of Business Analyst or related experience
- Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Requirements gathering and documentation
- Basic knowledge of BRD, FRD, and functional requirements
- Basic understanding of user stories and acceptance criteria
- Microsoft Excel, including formulas, filters, sorting, and PivotTables
- Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Basic SQL knowledge
- Basic data analysis and data validation skills
- Process flow and workflow documentation
- Basic understanding of UAT and software testing
- Defect and issue tracking
- Familiarity with Jira or similar project management tools
- Strong attention to detail
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work with business and technical teams
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Day-to-Day Activities
- Meet with business users to understand requirements and business needs.
- Document business and functional requirements.
- Create and update user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Maintain requirements, meeting notes, action items, and project documentation.
- Analyze basic business data using Excel and SQL.
- Perform data validation and identify missing or incorrect information.
- Create simple process flows and workflow diagrams.
- Work with developers and QA teams to clarify requirements.
- Support functional testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Document defects and track issues through resolution.
- Update Jira tickets and monitor task status.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, requirement meetings, and project discussions.
- Prepare basic reports, presentations, and status updates.
- Follow up with team members on open action items.
- Assist senior Business Analysts and Project Managers with project activities.
- Help identify process gaps and opportunities for improvement.
