Our client in Dallas Texas is seeking a Junior Associate Attorney interested in building a career in consumer bankruptcy law. This opportunity offers exposure to a high-volume legal practice with significant hands-on experience working directly with clients and managing matters throughout the bankruptcy process.
The firm is looking for someone who is eager to learn, comfortable interacting with people, and able to thrive in a fast-moving environment. While prior bankruptcy experience is beneficial, the emphasis at this level is on aptitude, communication skills, organization, and willingness to learn the practice.
Junior Associate Attorney Role
Develop knowledge of consumer bankruptcy matters and procedures
Assist with and ultimately manage bankruptcy cases as experience develops
Participate in client meetings and consultations
Prepare for and attend hearings and other proceedings
Communicate case requirements, next steps, and expectations to clients
Work closely with experienced attorneys and support staff
Manage multiple matters and deadlines in a high-volume environment
Develop the ability to independently manage a caseload
Maintain accurate documentation and consistent client follow-up
Provide professional and compassionate service to consumers navigating financial challenges
Junior Associate Attorney Background Profile
JD from an accredited law school
Active Texas law license
Bankruptcy experience, coursework, clerkship, or internship exposure is a plus but not required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Genuine comfort working directly with clients
Patient and professional when handling difficult or stressed clients
Strong organization and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and shift between multiple responsibilities
Desire to develop a career in bankruptcy law
