Job Description:

We are seeking a Junior Application Support Engineer to support and maintain a business-critical Azure-hosted enterprise application. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot application issues, analyze code and databases, develop fixes, and assist with production support under the guidance of senior engineers.

Role and Responsibilities

• Monitor and support applications across Dev, UAT, and Production environments.

• Investigate and resolve incidents across UI, API, database, and Azure services.

• Read, debug, and enhance C#/.NET code; develop fixes and submit pull requests.

• Write SQL queries for troubleshooting and data validation.

• Use Azure monitoring tools such as Application Insights and Log Analytics for diagnostics.

• Participate in deployments, release validation, and on-call production support.

• Document issues, solutions, and technical runbooks.

• Communicate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 0–2 years of software development or application support experience.

• Ability to read and write C#/.NET code.

• Basic SQL knowledge.

• Familiarity with Azure services or willingness to learn.

• Understanding of Git, code review, and CI/CD fundamentals.

• Strong troubleshooting, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.

Preferred Skills

• ASP.NET Web API/MVC and JavaScript/jQuery.

• Azure App Services, Azure SQL, Azure Functions, Service Bus, and APIM.

• Application Insights and KQL.

• OAuth/Entra ID and basic cloud networking knowledge.

Success Measures

• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues across application layers.

• Deliver effective code fixes through pull requests.

• Handle production incidents and escalations effectively.

• Provide clear technical documentation and stakeholder communication.
