    Junior Analyst

    Position Summary

    The College of Ag and Natural Resources (ANR) IT Technology Services delivers primary leadership and comprehensive IT support for the CANR through a collaborative shared services model.

    This position reports to the Service Desk Manager and will perform the following duties:

    • collaborate with university stakeholders to design purchase, configure, and distribute technology assets
    • manage assets throughout their lifecycle
    • deliver high-quality workstation and software support
    • administer employee accounts for access management

    Working alongside departmental and university IT teams, ANR IT provides technology resources that advance MSU's mission of education, research, and community engagement.

    We are seeking talented individuals to join our team and support the daily technology needs of the College. In this front-line role, you will provide hands-on and remote assistance to faculty and staff, ensuring reliable and effective IT services. As an ANR IT team member, you will help improve processes, coordinate and guide team activities, triage incoming requests, and manage escalations.

    Minimum Requirements

    Knowledge normally acquired in the first two or three years of colle ge, technical, vocational or business school such as an associate&rsquo ;s degree; one to three years of related and progressively more respons ible or expansive work experience in IT Desktop Field/Service Desk Supp ort; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Desired Qualifications

    • Demonstrate commitment to customer service and effective commu nication with technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Strong an alytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to independently resolve technical issues.
    • Experience supporti ng and managing Windows, macOS, iOS/iPadOS, and Android devices in an e nterprise environment.
    • Experience with endpoint and device man agement solutions, including Microsoft Intune, Jamf, MECM/SCCM, or comp arable platforms.
    • Experience using IT service management syste ms such as TeamDynamix, ServiceNow, or similar tools.
    • Working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, identity and access manage ment, and endpoint security best practices.
    • Working knowledge of enterprise networking concepts, including wired and wireless connect ivity, VPNs, firewalls, routing, and switching.
    • Experience sup porting virtual desktop and remote computing environments.
    • Exp erience evaluating, implementing, and supporting technology solutions t o meet organizational needs.
    • Experience participating in techn ical projects, including planning, implementation, documentation, and c oordination.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple prioritie s and work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
