Jr. Network Engineer

Responsibilities: of the Jr. Network Engineer: • Maintain and support network infrastructure within a shared on-premises lab environment used by approximately 30-50 end users. • Perform hands-on network maintenance, Layer 1 troubleshooting, patching, cabling, and general infrastructure support. • Troubleshoot network, operating system, hardware, and connectivity issues across the lab environment. • Assist with systems administration, help desk support, lab administration, and other day-to-day infrastructure needs. • Support shared technology resources used by teams responsible for certification of Cisco on-premises products for global certification programs. • Collaborate closely with senior infrastructure personnel while gradually taking ownership of network and systems administration responsibilities. • Assist with maintaining a reliable lab environment and supporting the introduction of additional cloud and infrastructure technologies. Requirements of the Jr. Network Engineer: • 2+ years of professional experience in network engineering, systems administration, IT infrastructure, or a related technical role. • CCNA-level networking knowledge with an understanding of network troubleshooting, switching, routing, and Layer 1 technologies; CCNA certification is highly preferred. • Hands-on experience with network maintenance, patching, cabling, infrastructure troubleshooting, and general IT support. • Exposure to systems administration, operating systems, security, or other areas of IT infrastructure is preferred. • Previous experience working within an MSP environment or Cisco TAC is highly desirable. • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work across networking, systems, hardware, and other infrastructure technologies. • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to take ownership of technical responsibilities in a multi-tool environment. Compensation: for the Jr. Network Engineer: • $80,000 - $110,000 • Full Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, PTO, Paid Holiday and Sick Leave if Required by Law.
