Jr. Geospatial Analyst - DHS

Provides specific analysis and research for homeland security mission areas (i.e. critical infrastructure protection, flood risk modeling, law enforcement operations, etc.). Prepares assessments of current threats and trends based on the sophisticated collection, research and analysis of classified and open-source information.

cFocus Software seeks a Jr. Geospatial Analyst to join our brand-new 3-year program supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This position is primarily remote. However, on-site meetings in Springfield, VA may be required. This position requires a Public Trust ClearanceQualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Geography or a related field.
• 6+ years of GIS experience
• 6+ years of experience with ESRI Suite, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, AWS, & DHS Policies and Procedures

Duties:

• Performs data collection, analysis, interpretation, and management duties.
• Prepare presentations that reflect the results of the data analysis.
• Works with scientists and other technical experts to design and develop statistical analyses methodologies.
• Provides specific analysis and research for homeland security mission areas (i.e. critical infrastructure protection, flood risk modeling, law enforcement operations, etc.).
• Prepares assessments of current threats and trends based on the sophisticated collection, research and analysis of classified and open-source information.
• Leads technical demonstrations, exchanges, and other technical presentations on materials and analysis generated.
