What Were Looking For
To excel in this position you should bring:
• Interest in construction estimating or a related field • Some knowledge of construction processes, materials, and techniques • Ability and openness to learn estimating software such as Agtek, Excel, and Bluebeam • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in cost control measures • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, contracts, and specifications effectively • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders • A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory
About the Role

• Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for construction projects • Utilize estimating software such as Excel, Agtek, and Bluebeam to create detailed estimates • Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure accurate pricing and scope of work • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather necessary data for estimates • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and techniques to provide informed estimates
