    Description

    Northramp is seeking a Jr. IT Software Asset Management Consultant to support government hardware lifecycle management and help maintain operational excellence in a federal environment. This role is engaged in the full hardware asset lifecycle, ensures CMDB and inventory accuracy, and assists with equipment shipments and transfers. The ideal candidate is a strong oral and written communicator, team player, and analytical thinker who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and federal stakeholders.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Participate in the full hardware asset lifecycle, including receiving, tagging, shipping, recovery, and disposal
    • Maintain accurate asset records and support both physical and logistical inventory audits
    • Process request-fulfillment tickets in alignment with SLAs and customer expectations
    • Participate as a member of an IT Asset Management Team, including government and vendor partners
    • Update process documentation
    • Coordinate effectively with multiple vendor partners to ensure alignment and shared understanding
    • Must be able to lift and move IT equipment up to 50 pounds

    Requirements

    • 2–4 years of hardware-focused IT Asset Management experience
    • Experience working with CMDB and asset management tools such as ServiceNow
    • Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and documentation quality
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Ability to obtain and maintain eligibility for access to classified information (including a security investigation and drug screening)
    • Daily on-site support in Rockville, MD is required

    Preferred Qualifications

    • ITIL, IAITAM, or ServiceNow certifications
    • Experience working within the federal government
    • Bachelor’s degree
