POSITION DETAILS

Job Title: Journeyman-Level Electrician

Pay Rate: $35.50/hr

Location: York, South Carolina

Employment Type: Full-Time / Project-Based

Schedule: 4 10-hour shifts and 2 8-hour shifts; 56 hours per week; 6:00 AM start

Start Date: ASAP

SCOPE OF WORK

• Install and terminate electrical systems supporting data center operations.
• Install conduit, cable tray, grounding, bonding, and power distribution systems.
• Pull, route, terminate, and test feeder, branch, and control wiring.
• Read electrical drawings, BIM models, one-line diagrams, and construction specifications.
• Assist with startup, testing, commissioning, and energization activities.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems using meters and diagnostic equipment.
• Maintain accurate installation, inspection, and testing documentation.
• Mentor apprentices and less experienced electricians.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 5 years of experience required.
• Must complete ladder and fall protection safety (CCS will provide).
• Must hold a valid Journeyman Electrician License where required by jurisdiction (verification required).
• Experience with commercial, industrial, or mission-critical electrical construction.
• Knowledge of NEC requirements and electrical construction practices.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and one-line diagrams.
• Experience with conduit, cable tray, feeder installations, and equipment terminations.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work from ladders or elevated platforms and access confined spaces.
• Reliable availability for shift work, overtime, weekends, and travel as project needs require.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Data center construction experience.
• Experience with UPS systems, backup generators, switchgear, medium-voltage distribution, and commissioning.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
• Experience with BIM/VDC-driven construction environments.
