Description

Job Summary: The ideal candidate has over 7 years of direct electrician experience in a manufacturing environment on manufacturing equipment, not facilities maintenance. This role requires expertise in industrial and electrical maintenance, including high voltage (medium voltage), 480V, 120V, down to 24-volt DC circuitry. Familiarity with Program Frequency Drives parameters (assistance available from controls engineers) and PLC experience, preferably Allen Bradley, is essential. CNC experience, especially with Fanuc and Siemens controllers, is highly desirable. Work will primarily involve machines in the manufacturing environment, with automotive industry experience preferred.
Skills Preferred:
  • Allen Bradley CNC experience.
Experience Required:
  • Journeyman's card or 7+ years of direct electrician experience.
  • Manufacturing environment experience on manufacturing equipment NOT facilities maintenance.
  • Proficiency in industrial and electrical maintenance, high voltage (medium voltage), 480V, 120V, down to 24-volt DC circuitry.
  • Hands-on experience with PLCs, CNCs, Frequency Drives, motors, and associated circuitry.
  • Ability to troubleshoot a wide range of issues including proximity switches, light screens, safety circuits, cables, ethernet and communication issues, motors, drives, relays, etc.
Experience Preferred:
  • Automotive industry experience.
  • Experience with Fanuc and Siemens controllers on CNC machines.
Additional Information:
  • Pay: $40 an hour with $1 shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shift. This is a direct hire role.
  • Shifts: New employees can expect to begin on 2nd or 3rd shift (2nd shift: 2PM - 10PM; 3rd shift: 10PM - 6AM).
  • Overtime: Mandatory 2/3 Saturdays a month. Overtime schedules are posted every Thursday and work on a rotational basis.
  • Overtime Pay: Over 40 hours and Saturdays are 1.5x hourly pay; Sunday and holidays are paid at 2x hourly pay.
Recent Updates:
  • Journeyman requirement: Four-year journeyperson electrical card OR 8 years documented on company letterhead relevant job experience.
  • Current Journeyman Apprentice program backlog: over a year.
  • Candidates strong in either CNC or PLC experience (not both) will be considered.
  • Interviews conducted by Hiring Manager and HR jointly. Resumes must match the candidate's experience.
Must Have:

  • Exposure to various circuits: 24v DC, 120v, 277v, and 480v.
