POSITION DETAILS

Job Title: Journeyman-Level Electrician

Pay Rate: $30/hr+$100/day

Location: Sterling, Virginia

Employment Type: Full-Time / Project-Based

Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts and two 8-hour shifts; 6:00 a.m. start time

Start Date: ASAP

Per Diem: $100 per day

SCOPE OF WORK

• Install and terminate switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, PDUs, generators, and related distribution equipment.
• Install conduit, cable tray, grounding, bonding, and power distribution wiring.
• Pull, route, terminate, and test feeder, branch, and control wiring.
• Read electrical drawings, BIM models, one-line diagrams, and construction specifications.
• Support startup, testing, commissioning, and energization activities.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems using multimeters, megohmmeters, and continuity testing devices.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 5 years of experience required.
• Must complete ladder and fall protection safety (CCS will provide).
• Must hold a valid Journeyman Electrician License where required by jurisdiction (verification required).
• Experience with commercial, industrial, or mission-critical electrical construction.
• Strong understanding of NEC requirements and electrical construction practices.
• Ability to install conduit, cable tray, feeders, and equipment terminations.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and one-line diagrams.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work from ladders and elevated platforms and access confined spaces.
• Reliable availability for overtime, weekends, shift work, and travel as project needs require.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

No specific educational background is stated. Preferred experience includes data center construction, UPS and generator systems, medium-voltage distribution, switchgear, commissioning, BIM/VDC environments, and OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
