Journeyman Electrician
Bilt Electric is seeking an experienced, dependable
Journeyman Electrician to join our team. We are a small, family-run local business specializing in quality electrical work throughout
San Diego County, with occasional travel to projects outside the county.
This position is ideal for a skilled electrician who takes pride in their work, communicates well, and wants to be part of a close-knit company where reliability and craftsmanship are valued.
Bilt Electric is a sub company of Tagg Construction. We are managing the candidate search but the position will be filled with Bilt Electric.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical plans, and wiring diagrams.
- Perform electrical work in accordance with the NEC and applicable local codes.
- Diagnose electrical problems and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
- Use electrical testing equipment and standard hand and power tools.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, contractors, and inspectors.
- Travel to job sites throughout San Diego County and occasionally outside the county.
Qualifications
- Valid journeyman electrician license or certification is required.
- Demonstrated experience working as a journeyman electrician.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and applicable codes.
- Ability to work in commercial and residential settings.
- Motor Control experience a huge plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues independently.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to safely lift materials, climb ladders, and work in physically demanding environments.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness and ability to travel outside San Diego County when required.
