WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
High school diploma or GED required.
Completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program required.
Certifications
Journeyman Electrician License
NFPA 70E Training
Arc Flash Safety Certification
First Aid/CPR
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
Ability to obtain Forklift and aerial lift certification
Experience
Journeyman Electrician License required
Minimum 4 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
Working knowledge of computers and MS Office software.
Knowledge
National Electrical Code (NEC)
OSHA regulations
NFPA 70E electrical safety requirements
Industrial motor controls
Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
Motor Control Centers (MCCs)
PLC troubleshooting

Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
Ability to interpret electrical prints and technical documentation.
Working knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment (troubleshooting only; programming experience is a plus).
Ability to safely work with energized equipment in accordance with company policy and NFPA 70E requirements.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated ability to:
Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work at heights.
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
Work in indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, and chemicals.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including arc flash PPE and respirators when required.
Ability to respond to emergency maintenance calls and work overtime or rotating schedules as needed.
Follow written and verbal instructions in English.
Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in order to meet established deadlines.
Work as a team and/or independently.
Perform tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Duties are generally performed indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions, in a 24-hour per day, seven days per week manufacturing environment. Handling and working with hazardous materials and chemical manufacturing equipment is routine. The employee may work in the presence of fumes or airborne particles, hot, toxic or corrosive chemicals, water, liquids and electrical equipment. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud. When working in the presence of these hazards, the employee is expected to follow company safety rules and use proper personal protection such as: hardhat, respirator, hearing protection, protective clothing, safety glasses, safety footwear, etc. MLI is an alcohol and drug free workplace. Employees will work in a covered Process Safety Management (PSM) environment containing threshold quantities of flammable liquids and/or gasses that have a potential for fire or explosion. Employees working in this environment are required to be free from devices that are not considered intrinsically safe. Examples of devices that may not be intrinsically safe include Insulin Pumps, Pacemakers, Pain Management devices, etc.
