Job Summary

Job Overview We are seeking experienced Journeyman Commercial Sheet Metal Mechanics for a direct-hire opportunity on a long-term commercial construction project in Edinburg, Texas. Qualified candidates must have journeyman-level experience installing commercial sheet metal ductwork and HVAC systems. This is an excellent opportunity offering competitive hourly pay, potential overtime, and approximately one year of project work. Out-of-town workers may qualify for $178 per day in per diem.

Pay Range

$32.00-36.00 per hr

Job Responsibilities

• Install commercial HVAC ductwork and sheet metal systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and construction plans.
• Measure, lay out, fabricate, fit, and install sheet metal components.
• Install ductwork, fittings, and related HVAC components according to project specifications.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal installation equipment.
• Maintain quality workmanship and follow jobsite safety procedures.
• Coordinate with other trades to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

• Journeyman-level commercial sheet metal experience required.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC ductwork installation.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
• Ability to work 10-hour shifts, 6 days per week.
• Reliable attendance and commitment to jobsite safety.
• Ability to work effectively on a commercial construction project.

Pay & Project Details

• $32-$36 per hour, based on experience.
• $178 per day per diem for qualified out-of-town workers.
• Direct-hire position.
• Approximately one year of anticipated project duration.
• Overtime opportunities based on the project schedule.
• Six positions available.
