Journeyman Carpentar

Position Overview:
As a Journeyman Carpenter, you will be responsible for performing a variety of carpentry tasks on construction projects, including framing, trim work, cabinetry, and other wood-related tasks. You will work closely with other team members to ensure the successful completion of projects while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall to precise specifications
• Construct, install, and repair structures such as frameworks, partitions, stairways, and rafters
• Build and install cabinets, shelving, doors, and other fixtures
• Ensure all work is completed according to local building codes and safety regulations
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
• Collaborate with other trades to ensure smooth project flow
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations on job sites
• Provide mentorship and guidance to apprentices and junior carpenters, as needed

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Journeyman Carpenter (minimum of 3 years of experience)
• Valid driver's License and reliable transportation
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and building codes
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
