JOINT POLE COORDINATOR

DESCRIPTION:
Under general supervision of the Electric Utility System Designer, administer, examine, enhance, and maintain all aspects of the Joint Pole Agreements (JPA) for the electric utility, including, but not limited to drafting JPAs, submitting work orders, tracking billing and invoices, and managing files and records of all solely and jointly owned facilities.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:
The Joint Pole Coordinator is a single class position responsible for providing regional and district support to internal and external partners while helping ensure the efficiencies of the JPA for the Electric Utility operations. Incumbents in this class are responsible for a wide variety of project management, analytical and administrative assignments, and serves as a resource to city staff and officials, customers and residents, outside agencies, contractors and partners relating to JPA. The incumbent performs work independently as directed, but within the limitations of standard practice or procedure.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
May occasionally exercise technical supervision over lower-level staff.

Qualifications
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, supplemented with completed coursework in engineering, electrical engineering, geographic information systems, (GIS), public or business administration. AND
Experience: Three (3) years of directly related experience in an electric utility field with project management responsibilities.
